Silver Bow Creek

Western States Reclamation Inc. (WSRI) was responsible for revegetation operations of the floodplain along Silver Bow Creek in southwest Montana following remedial construction activities. As part of producing a quality seed bed for successful herbaceous vegetation establishment, WSRI worked directly with the earthwork contractor to apply and incorporate procured organic materials according to strict specifications. In addition, fertilizer was applied at a specified rate and also incorporated into the soil to help promote vegetative establishment. Mechanical drill seeding was conducted by trained WSRI personnel. Phase I of this project was successfully completed in the fall of 2009 and Phase II was completed during the spring of 2010.
