Extraction Oil & Gas Pad Reclamation

Western States Reclamation (WSR) partnered with Apex Companies LLC helped reclaim a series of pads in Northern Colorado for Extraction Oil and Gas.  In support of reclamation objectives, both a site investigation and condition assessment were completed to identify potential areas of concern for reclamation, additional remediation, and/or soil conditions which may need soil amendments to support sustainable vegetation.  The proposed reclamation areas typically included the well pad, adjacent disturbance area, and access road .

Step one in the pad reclamation process was the initial removal of 180 cubic yards of gravel and road base from the well pad.  Step two involved seedbed preparation consisting of decompaction, topsoil placement, contouring, and drill seeding.  WSR 1800 1,800 LF of fencing to ensure that cattle grazing wouldn’t damage the newly reclaimed land.

WSR has used this consultative approach of integrating soil science data with proper reclamation techniques to complete a large number of successful well site reclaims for Extraction Oil & Gas.
